The Saratoga County Historical Society at Brookside Museum has been awarded a 2019 Greater Hudson Heritage Network Collection Needs Assessment Program Grant.
The Collection Needs Assessment Program: Site Assessment and Supplies is administered by Greater Hudson Heritage Network, in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts. For 2019 grant year, 35 grant applications were received from institutions from 22 counties in New York State, requesting an aggregate of $15,908.23 in grant support. In all, 27 organizational awards totaling $13,054 for Site Assessments and Supplies were recommended for funding. The 2019 Collection Needs Assessment Program Grant awards range from $271 to $650. Of the 35 applicant institutions, nineteen had a general operating budget under $150,000, five had budgets over $151,000 but below $300,000, nine had a budget over $301,000 but below $1 million, and two organization had a budget over $1 million. Organizational operating budgets of the Collection Needs Assessment Program: Site Assessment and Supplies grant applicants span a stunning range from $2,600 to $1.2 million.
