Spin Till You Dye Event at Brookside Museum

Ballston Spa, NY – Summer fun with the Saratoga County History Center continues with a brand-new public event: “Spin Till You Dye.”

On August 8, 2021, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., representatives from the Saratoga County-based fiber spinning group The Rock Day Spinners will gather at Brookside Museum to dye wool using natural dyes and demonstrate fiber spinning.

“SCHC is very excited to host this event. The spinners were looking for a new location, and the History Center has a long history hosting the annual Sheep to Shawl program and other fiber events, so it seems a natural fit,” explains Sean Kelleher, Vice President of Community

Engagement of the History Center. “It will be a great family day to see the spinners and tour the museum with our four new exhibits.”

“Spin Till You Dye” is a family-friendly event, free and open to the public.

Brookside Museum is open Thursday to Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. and during the Thursday and Saturday Farmer’s Markets. Donations are appreciated. Please check the website and social media for any changes to hours or events.
