The Saratoga County History Center at Brookside Museum is offering local students an opportunity to travel back in time to uncover local history. Each day we will explore the foods, games, chores, dangers, and challenges of five different eras. Discover how historians use archeology, documents, artwork, photographs, and folklore to find out how people lived long ago.
“We love giving local students opportunities to interact with the rich history of our region through hands-on experiences,” says Anne Clothier, Director of Education at SCHC. Each day will include a student-made snack, toys & games, and opportunities for making craft items to take home and keep. The program will run daily from Monday, February 19 through Friday, February 23 from 1 – 4 pm each day. Best suited for students aged 8-12. The program is $100 per student for one week (15 hours). Pre-registration is required.
