DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a meet and greet with the authors of Saratoga County Stories Three\, the third collection in our series of books highlighting the histories of Saratoga County. This volume shares new and unexpected tales drawn from across Saratoga County\, and features the contributions of over thirty local historians and researchers. At Brookside and in Malta\, selected authors will be there to sign books\, discuss their research\, and celebrate this new volume. \nWithin Saratoga County Stories Three\, readers are invited to learn about important moments in local history\, from Waterford’s time as “Underwear Capital of the World” to Carlotta Myers’ balloon flight over Saratoga\, to the tumult of the American Revolution. This year\, in honor of America’s 250th\, we will be reading books that explore the unfolding and impact of the American Revolution. \nEach meeting will take place in the historic Long Room at Saratoga County History Center\, and tea and cookies will be served. All featured books will be available for sale at Northshire Bookstore in Saratoga Springs.
