DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a meet and greet with the authors of Saratoga County Stories Three\, the third collection in our series of books highlighting the histories of Saratoga County. This volume shares new and unexpected tales drawn from across Saratoga County\, and features the contributions of over thirty local historians and researchers. At Brookside and in Malta\, selected authors will be there to sign books\, discuss their research\, and celebrate this new volume. Within Saratoga County Stories Three\, readers are invited to learn about important moments in local history\, from Waterford’s time as “Underwear Capital of the World” to Carlotta Myers’ balloon flight over Saratoga\, to the tumult of the American Revolution. Turn the pages\, and travel across time and space: visit the bedside of a tuberculosis patient in Providence\, spend a summer afternoon picnicking in Vischer Ferry\, or join a community celebration at Halfmoon’s Chip Hall.
