DESCRIPTION:Join SCHC and the Museum of Science and Innovation (MISCI) for a special STEM program for young audiences! Inspired by the history of the Malta Rocket Test Station\, enjoy a lesson in the history and science of rockets. Participants will learn about the history of rocketry\, then use a variety of materials to create a rocket with the goal of successfully lifting the heaviest possible payload. This program is free with registration. \nThis program is brought to you through the generosity of the J.M. McDonald Foundation\, and is inspired by our current temporary exhibition\, Luther Forest: A Family\, A Woodland\, A Legacy.

At Brookside and in Malta\, selected authors will be there to sign books\, discuss their research\, and celebrate this new volume. \nWithin Saratoga County Stories Three\, readers are invited to learn about important moments in local history\, from Waterford’s time as “Underwear Capital of the World” to Carlotta Myers’ balloon flight over Saratoga\, to the tumult of the American Revolution. Turn the pages\, and travel across time and space: visit the bedside of a tuberculosis patient in Providence\, spend a summer afternoon picnicking in Vischer Ferry\, or join a community celebration at Halfmoon’s Chip Hall.
