The Saratoga County History Center cares for over 25,000 historic artifacts that tell Saratoga County’s story. The collections are stored on-site in our historic building in a secure and environmentally controlled environment. SCHC is permanently charged by New York State Education department thus we take collections care very seriously, abiding by the standards outlined by the Board of Regent’s. We are committed to making collections accessible while balancing preservation needs. We strongly encourage historical research using our collections.
Collection items are available for viewing by appointment. It requires time and professional staff to retrieve information about items in the collection and to physically remove the pieces from their storage location, so appointments are required. Please contact us info@brooksidemuseum.org to make arrangements.
You may also browse the collection online! Visit http://brookside.pastperfectonline.com to browse the collections database.
We are always looking to expand our collection of Saratoga County artifacts and are grateful for any donations that will enhance our collections. If you are interested in donating items please contact us at info@brooksidemuseum.org
