Saratoga County Historical Society at Brookside Museum - The Future Is Hybrid: A New Fundraising Campaign

The Future Is Hybrid: A New Fundraising Campaign

Lights, camera, action.

The future is hybrid and Saratoga County History Center (SCHC) needs your help to prepare for hybrid events (with audiences both onsite and online) in our meeting room.

We need 15 donors to donate to our “future is hybrid fund” to make the equipment possible for our future.  SCHC had two generous anonymous donors step forward and offer $2,000 as a challenge match donation.  How the challenge match donation works if we can get an additional 15 donors (at any amount) then the projects move forward.  Can you be one of the 15 donors?

Donations can be made through our website at: https://brooksidemuseum.networkforgood.com/projects/134039-the-future-is-hybrid

The initial hybrid event in August will be sponsored by the Saratoga County History Roundtable. In September, SCHC has programs scheduled by the Saratoga County History Roundtable and Heritage Hunters of Saratoga County.

“The events of 2020 have provided the incentive for the Saratoga County History Center (SCHC) to evaluate its operation and seek new ways to reach out to Saratoga County residents and beyond with a totally new approach to sharing history in our community,” explains Sean Kelleher, Vice President for Membership and Community Engagement. “One of the most exciting aspects of this change is to “go digital” which allowed the SCHC to reach people who were previously unable to attend our in-house programs due to distance or other issues.”

The Saratoga County History Center is dedicated to preserving and sharing the diverse histories of Saratoga County. The History Center now offers a wide variety of innovative, exciting, and educational programming online. SCHC’s Brookside Museum is located at the west end of fun and fashionable Front Street in historic Ballston Spa.  Admission is free, though donations are appreciated.  For more information telephone (518) 885-4000, visit www.brooksidemuseum.org, or follow on social media: Twitter, @SaratogaCoHist; Instagram, @SaratogaCountyHistory.
