Saratoga County Historical Society at Brookside Museum - Library

Library

The Irene Wooten Research Room contains an extensive library, which includes a large collection of books, transcripts, journals and other records. We are grateful to the many kind donors to the library, especially the Heritage Hunters, whose generous donation forms the backbone of our collection. If you are interested in donating any of your unwanted genealogy books or any of your local research, please consider donating it to us. Contact us at research@brooksidemuseum.org.

Some books that we have do not include indexes. We are working on generating some, thereby making the books even more useful. If you are interested in helping with any indexing or transcribing of records, please contact us at research@brooksidemuseum.org

Over several weeks at the beginning of 2023, a group of dedicated volunteers gathered to help with indexing and cataloging. One successfully completed task was to go through some of the Images of America books, and index the names of the people who are identified in the photographs. The list so far includes names from the Ballston Lake, Burnt Hills, Clifton Park, Malta, Milton and Stillwater books. View the List of Names in the Images of America Books
