A Gangster’s Paradise” at Saratoga County History Center

The Saratoga County History Roundtable will host a welcome back night at the Saratoga County History Center at Brookside Museum, 6 Charlton Street, Ballston Spa, on Wednesday, August 18. The program begins at 6:00 PM with a tour of the four new exhibits in the museum. Docents will be available to share information on the exhibits and the History Center. Enjoy the new gardens and refreshments on the lawn.

At 7:15 join author and retired police chief Greg Veitch as he tells the stories of Saratoga Springs nefarious past. From bootlegging and gambling to corruption and murder, Greg tells the true story of how the likes of Arnold Rothstein, Meyer Lasky and Lucky Luciano turned the Spa City into a Gangster’s Paradise. Greg will also be available to sign his two books on Saratoga’s colorful past. This hybrid program with be held in the Museum’s Long Room and can be viewed on Facebook Live.
