July 28, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Saratoga County History Center President Field Horne cordially invites you to join an exclusive pre-opening showing of the new “In the Saratoga Style: Potato Chips and Their Regional Folklore” exhibit. The pre-opening exhibition will be held on Thursday, July 28th from 7pm to 9pm at the Brookside Museum.  This new exhibition explores the many stories that claimed to explain the story behind the snack, from disgruntled customers to kitchen incidents.  Take a first look at the legendary George Crum’s story, as well as his experiences as an African and Native American chef and outdoor guide. Learn more about this contender for the inventor of potato chips, along with other possible innovators who may have been responsible for the irresistible crispy potatoes.

This free event will be held at the Brookside Museum, 6 Charlton St, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
